These terms and conditions govern the services provided by Fresh Floors Ltd to our clients. By engaging our services, you agree to the terms set out below. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

Quotations & Pricing
All quotations are provided free of charge and without obligation. Quotations are based on information provided by the client and/or a site survey conducted by Fresh Floors Ltd.
- Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated
- Final pricing may be subject to change if the condition of the floor differs materially from that described or observed at survey
- Any additional work identified during the job — such as unforeseen structural repairs — will be discussed and agreed with the client before proceeding
- VAT is not currently charged on our services as Fresh Floors Ltd is not VAT registered
Booking & Confirmation
A booking is confirmed once both parties have agreed to the work, dates and price in writing (email or message). We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
We will confirm your booking date as soon as possible. Availability is subject to our current schedule and cannot be guaranteed until confirmation is provided.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
We understand that circumstances change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- More than 48 hours notice — cancellation or rescheduling is free of charge
- Less than 48 hours notice — a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the agreed job value may be charged to cover loss of earnings and preparation costs
- Same day cancellation or no access on the day — the full job value may be charged
Fresh Floors Ltd reserves the right to reschedule work in the event of circumstances beyond our control, including severe weather, equipment failure or illness. We will provide as much notice as possible in such cases.
Client Responsibilities
To allow us to carry out the work safely and to the highest standard, the client is responsible for:
- Ensuring the room or area to be sanded is clear of furniture, rugs and personal belongings before work begins
- Ensuring access to the property at the agreed time
- Informing us of any known issues with the floor, subfloor or property before work begins
- Ensuring adequate ventilation is available during and after finishing
- Keeping children and pets away from the work area during and immediately after sanding and finishing
- Following our aftercare instructions to protect the finished floor during the curing period
Our Work & Guarantee
Fresh Floors Ltd uses professional Lägler equipment and commercial-grade finishing products on all jobs. We take pride in the quality of our work and aim to deliver results that meet or exceed your expectations.
- We cannot guarantee the removal of all stains, marks or discolouration where these have penetrated beyond the surface of the timber
- Natural characteristics of timber — including grain variation, knots and minor colour differences — are not defects and are not grounds for complaint
- We are not responsible for damage to floors that were not in a structurally sound condition prior to sanding, where this was not identified or disclosed at survey
- Any concerns about the finished work must be raised within 7 days of completion. We will return to inspect and, where appropriate, remedy any genuine defect at no additional cost
Aftercare
Following completion of the work, we will provide aftercare instructions specific to your floor and finish. It is the client’s responsibility to follow these instructions, including:
- Allowing the finish to cure fully before replacing furniture — typically 24–48 hours for lacquer
- Using felt pads under furniture legs to prevent scratching
- Avoiding excessive water or harsh cleaning products on the finished floor
- Following any specific advice provided for your chosen finish type
Damage caused by failure to follow aftercare instructions is not covered under any guarantee.
Payment Terms
Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in advance. We accept bank transfer and cash. Invoices are issued on completion and payment is expected within 7 days unless prior arrangements have been made.
Late payment may result in interest being charged in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Liability
Fresh Floors Ltd is fully insured for public liability. Our liability in respect of any claim arising from our services is limited to the value of the work carried out.
We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including loss of earnings or costs arising from delay, except where caused by our negligence.
Disputes
In the event of a dispute, we ask that you contact us directly in the first instance so that we can attempt to resolve the matter informally. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. The current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
